6th June 2007
Shockingly, I'm not having a bad time at this point. I took my last Vicoden on Monday around 4:00 p.m., so I'm going on about 43 hours and with the Clonadine patches, I've had virtually no sweating or chills. I did feel some coming on yesterday, so I took a Clonadine pill to supplement the patch.
I'm completely exhausted, and from what I gather, that's from the Clonadine and Dyciclomine (for the stomach cramps) than anything else. I've been eating Immodium like candy to avoid the bathroom, but that has been pretty unsuccessful at this point. While I was tired, I had trouble falling asleep last night, so I took the Seroquel that the Doc prescribed and frankly, I didn't like how it made me feel (tingly legs, very restless), so I took a hot shower and fell asleep after that.
I'm clearly not out of the woods yet, but this is the longest I've gone without Vics in a long, long time, and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I go back to the Doctors around 4:30 today to look at my progress and get new scripts (they only give you enough to make it to your next appointment, which is a good thing, even though I'm not taking any opiates). If I can get through the rest of the week and the weekend without serious WD's, I think the decision to see a Doc about this may have been the best one I've ever made.
I've moved my schedule around for the remainder of the week, so after about 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, I can pretty much call it a week as things stand now.
No worries about the sarcasm, I enjoy that stuff.
