samorris,
A shot in the dark ... does "Provigil" ring a bell?
Other less likely possibilities are Wellbutrin and Effexor - both are stimulating antidepressants.
Usually stimulants are prescribed for "chemo-fog." Chemo-fog is drug induced attention deficit problems. So let's try "Concerta." Concerta is long acting Ritalin.
Those are all the possibilities I can think of.
Exercise, diet, enough sleep always help reduce ADHD symptoms. They may not eliminate meds but always help. A very good stimulant is green tea. Somehow the caffeine in green tea is modified so that it rarely produces the jitters. Suggest those things to son.
ADHD college kids shoot themselves in the foot using stimulants for all nighters. Nothing helps me more than a good nights sleep. Little or poor quality sleep? I'm a basket case.
