I know this is a med related post...but interestingly enough I just read that chronic tiredness and narcolepsy is a part of ADD.
I get so tired at times especially around 2-5pm. It is ridiculous how deeply tired I get...like I close my eyes for a nanosecond and I feel myself going out. It can happen while driving..it is scary. If I lay down I can be asleep within seconds of my head hitting the pillow. Seconds...bam...lights out.
I thought it was sleep apnea related so I went on CPAP about a year ago. It helps quite a lot but it has started again.
For that reason I would tell my Doc I could not do this Strattera, the fact that it makes one tired. Besides, the "that" aspect of it is an unpleasant thought also. So many drugs do this nowdays it seems.
I like the idea that Aderrall and Ritalin are also prescribed for chronic tiredness since they are a stimulant. These two medications seem made for me. I am so keen to try one or the other.
