yes aNewman. methadone withdrawal is the longest lasting of all the opiate withdrawals. i have indeed heard of some lasting a month or longer. she certainly will be dealing with some emotional issues too along with the continued achiness. depression and opiate withdrawal go hand in hand. i now take wellbutrin, lamictal, risperdal, and zoloft. it took all that just to pull me out of the depression. i wasnt happy but i did make some progress. i think she might not be getting an aggressive enough approach to her depression issues. i would talk to her doctor and explain the situation and that you feel she should try a different more aggressive attitude in the approach to her treatment[in particular possibly some different or additional prescription anti-depressants like the ones i listed] the depression after opiate withdrawal can be and is in many cases very severe and can take long periods of time to see progress in patients :wave:
