   Nasal steroids etc (Allergies board)

No, I wouldn't worry about any long term side effects. It only goes into your sinuses and that won't do any harm. Just think of all the inhaled steroids we asthmatics do every day of our lives! I sure do miss my Rhinocort inhaler though...the spray just doesn;t cut it.

My allergy specialist just put me on Nasacort, Rhinocort etc.. for a severe sinus infection but he wants me to stay on the spray for a long time. I feel much better on it along with my weekly allergy injections. My husband has been on the spray for a few years and he swears by it and he had always been proned to bronchitis but sense taking it he has never had a problem with it again. The only thing is it is very expensive even with insurance coverage.

I would practically kill for them to put the Rhinocort inhaler back on the market! The spray just doesn't do the trick. Lordy, that inhaler worked so good for me but there are none such on the market anymore.

Can't you at least get rhinocort in a generic form now?
