oh yes, I've had these symptoms.
It's from swelling of the soft tissue in the maxillary and ethmoid sinuses.
The way to cambat this is three-fold
1) Irrigation using a machine, xyletol or kosher salt, and maybe 3ml of hydrogen peroxide if there is an active infection
2) Chlor-Tremiton 4 or 12 hour tablets
3) Nasal steroids (Rhinocort, Nasarel, etc.)
#1 is the most important, because it gets the cilia in the nose working to drain the gunk. It also clear allergens out of the sinuses. #2 works great for me -it's the best antihistamine. #3 works o.k. depending on the circumstance, but is not meant to be done long-term.
dizziness is a common problem with people with bad sinus issues.
