Difference between retin-A and trentinoin? (Beauty & Cosmetics board)

13th December 2007
Just wondering, when I was younger i was prescribed Retin-A for acne. I asked the dermo doc last time I went what was good for oily skin and wrinkles and she prescribed Trentinoin...what's the difference, and is it Renova with a generic name? Thanks for any info, just curious.

Tretinoin is what is in Retin-a and Renova. Retin-a and Renova are the 2 different brands that have that in them.
