I went for my second microdermabrasion treatment today, and heatedly voiced my opinion of the prescription of Renova/Neostrata in conjunction with the treatments. Apparently, both my aestician (sp?) and the actual plastic surgeon (who is, by the way, president of the board of plastic surgeons so I suppose I should value his opinion or something) told me that the Renova will do me wonders with the micro, it just doesnt seem like it right now  Also, since they discovered my skin is super sensitive (no, really Sherlock?), instead of using the Renova EVERY night, I am now directed to use it once a WEEK for the next three weeks, then twice a week for the next three weeks, and so on and so on. I was told that this is just a "hump" I need to get over, a clearing of the skin. The Renova is bringing out EVERYTHING from my skin so it can be treated - both the surgeon and nurse assured me I would be VERY pleased with the end result, and that the current state my face is in (pure and utter SHAMBLES) will calm down shortly. Also, my aestician said she has prescribed this regimine with mico for YEARS and it has the best success - but since my skin is SO sensitive, I need to just take things a little slower before I see results. Hmm... I am still weary. It's hard to be optimistic when my face is as red as this little smiley -> :o and broken out like crazy! Please, feel free to leave your two cents on this issue, I am interested to see what you all think about this matter.
