I think I will just have to wait & see....I really suspect the antidepressant ( Remeron) is the culprit for a lot of my "weirdness".
I was going to wean my evening dose of Prevacid ( am on 30 mgm 2 x day). I was initially put on 30 mgm/day after an endoscopy that showed non-erosive esophagitis.
Then developed gallbladder problems--had the GB taken out, & became very sick post-op...all kinds of abdominal pain & issues. Upper GI showed mild gastritis which was not there 2 months prior on endoscopy, so Prevacid was increased to twice a day.

I believe the gastritis must be healed as I feel much better....however I have all the symptoms I've read about for LPR--I cough & almost gag after eating, etc.. may be the source of the esophagitis ? Everything I've read here says to use the PPi 2 x day for LPR, so hesitant to get off the evening dose, but will discuss with my GI doc. It is difficult to get an appt with him & he does not return calls...may be time to shop for a new GI guy except my GI doc is considered to be the best in our area. It's always so darned complicated...
