Flyfishingdaddy,
One big question is do you have the depression that goes along with the fibro??
I am on lots of meds for other illness.
I have to take 500mg Glucophage for Type 2 Diabetes.
I have to take 10mg a Ace Inhibetor sp. for HBP.
I take 60 mgs of Remeron and 75mg Effexor for the depression and sleep help.
I also take 1mg of Kolinpin for sleep and to help for muscle tightness.
I also have to take Prilosac (purple pill) ocassionally for Acid Reflux.
So I am forced to take so many different meds for different health issues , I am always scared anytime I add something to the mix for reasons of reaction.
It makes it hard to try natural methods because no FDA info on drug interactions.
The first two on the list is no brainers , I am forced to take or die. I have tried long ago to control them by diet, excersise and natural methods to no avail. I have terrible HBP. I have run 210/120 bp's on many occassions even with diet and meds. Long family History of HBP. You know us southern folks and the food we grew up on. My grandmother did not know anything but Lard for cooking oil and black cast iron skillet for frying. Boy was it good though.LOL
Play's havoc on the old bod though. My dad died at 50 from all his illness while we were at St Pete Beach, Flordia when I was 15. Died in his sleep in a motel. He told me that day walking down the beach that he believed his time was near. I blew it off like a teen would and really did not realize how sick he really was. He was private about his health and even surprised family members of his death. His doctor told me at the funeral that he advised him a few days earlier not to take the trip. My dad never mentioned it. That was August 1978.
You know now I am 42 and look at pictures of him when he was in his middle 40's and it just blows my mind. I promise you would think you was looking at a 65 year old man. Luckely, I have not the apperance of that. With the exception of sometimes I look in the mirror and my eyes look old.
Anyway,
I will research your idea on helping with the Fibro. There are a few other things i've heard. Something in Robitusin sp. cough meds have been used to success. It starts with a G.
Thanks so much for your help,
fisherman
ps Here's your laugh of the day. When they started me on Ultram I thought I was saved.....................really I was lost from the get go and never new it.
LOL
