While it seems only sometimes acknowledged by medical sites, there are many on these fora who have experienced some kind of heart palpitations oddly in tune with their reflux problems.
I had some quite regularly while lying in bed to sleep the month or so BEFORE I KNEW I had a serious problem (that was "reflux").
I had some after that, but not that much. I won't count what happened when I was on Reglan, but it does give you a clue.
I think this indicates that you are having some problem with the vagus nerve/autonomic nervous system. These things control not only your stomach movement and sphincter action, but your heart rate, etc. I can't help but wonder if people with some palps as well as reflux show that they actually are having nerve problems more than just "bad muscles".
