I hate when people don't get any responce to their post as I know how one feels searching for answers. Thanks for replying, Flower Girl. I can only add that when finally diagnosed with GERD/LPR, I showed ulcers in my esophogus. I had scopes once a year for awhile (at least 5) and after taking Previcid, Reglan and Carafate for a pretty long time (longer than any 6 to 8 months) and showed no inflammation. That's not to say that it has cured my LPR and during the time I was being treated aggresively, I was not taking the meds your friend is. Also, I tested positive for bacteria H. Even after being treated BIG time for this. I was told by another gastro spec that after testing positive, I might always. Not sure if this is true or not. Who knows.
Hope your friend gets the help needed and gets to feeling better soon.
