I had it all except surprisingly not a hernia. Must admit I still suffer from the LPR, but I did get much better in about 2 months with my stomach problems. I started off (after finally getting diagnosed) with Prevacid, Reglan and Carafate. I didn't have a lot of pain but more the LPR symtoms and plain felt like crap day after day. Dizzy, sick, wanting to lay in the highway kind of thing. LOL. PND, SOB, chronic cough, very sore throat. Lost 40 lbs in 6 months. Too bad I realized I wasn't really going to die and started eating again. Rest, rest, rest got me better than anything. I can't say I watched my die that well but maybe because I didn't feel like eating. Wasn't supposed to lie down for 4 hrs after eating and remember I felt so bad, I'd skip eating to lie down. Now, if I could conquer this LPR. Much harder to control. I'm on 2 40 mg Nex per day for it and swigs of Mylanta here and there. I must ditch the Cokes even though they don't seem to bother me. It's more any foods. Chocolate is a trigger for sure and I'd give it up before my Coke. Coffee is not good for me. Sure you know the drill but my Dr has always said to learn your triggers and not deny yourself of all foods since some can handle more than others. To heal, you may need to go pretty blane for awhile. I ate oatmeal back then and now it gives me reflux. Go figure!
