I went to my GP back in January with some stomach problems. Basically I would feel this sharp cramp at the top of my stomach when walking sometimes and my stomach was very sensitive for weeks. I would get sick at night for no reason at all and feel pretty bad in general. He did some physical tests and ruled out a stomach ulcer or kidney problems or liver problems and blamed the problem on just high stomach acid. He gave me a 20-day prescription of Ranitidine (Zantac family) and that helped overall. He said it wouldn't be uncommon for this to come back every couple of months. Well, a couple of months later, it's back. I'm going back to see him in 2 days hoping to get that medicine again so this doesn't ruin my spring break. I also think I might ask him for a reference to a stomach specialist to check out why my stomach is like this. I'm just curious as to what could be wrong with my stomach. I know I'll eventually find out from a specialist (hopefully) but I just wanted to get everyone's opinion while I'm waiting. Thanks.
By the way, I generally stay away from heavily greasy foods and I rarely drink alcohol, and I'm not usually overly stressed.
