I am so proud of you for wanting to stop taking the Lortab. I took about 25 Lortab a day along with Xanax. I have been off of them for 38 days today. And that is a MIRACLE. I am taking subutex to help the Lortab cravings. I think I read that you don't have insurance, but there must be some places in your community that you could get help from.
You have done the hardest part.......deciding that you want to stop taking the drugs.
I started taking hydros (Vicodan, Lortab) when I was 15 for endometriosis. I had around 30 surgeries and at some point got addicted to the pills. I now have Lupus which is quite painful sometimes. I have just had to figure out different ways to deal with the pain. I know that the pain will not kill me, but the pills will.
One thing that helped me during detox was a drug called quinine. It is actually a drug for malaria, but it really helps the restless legs. I don't know if u have a doc that would call that in for you or not, but if you do it really does work.
I don't know how old your daughter is, but if she is old enough just let her know that Mommy has to get better so that she will be well taken care of. Remember....if your not clean and sober you can't take care of anyone else.
I was also wondering how much Xanax you are taking. Stopping Xanax cold turkey can be VERY dangerous.
