i don't know whether you've been to the doctor by now or have gotten on any medications besides albuterol, but i have asthma and take albuterol as well but i also take something called pulmicort when i need it....when i get sick or with allergies i take this as well as my albuterol and it makes the asthma go away really quickly....with asthma, it inflames 2 parts in your chest (i can't reember what now) and the albuterol is a quick-relief inhaler that only helps with one part, not both which is why it feels like the inhaler doesn't always work....
