Don't know what this is - any suggestions? (Open to All Health Related Topics board)

This sounds like classic acid reflux. It gives you very wacky symptoms that most people do not immediately associate with acid reflux. Do a little research on GERD (gastro-esophogeal reflux disease) and LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux).

It's treatable with a prescription PPI (proton pump inhibitor). Brand names include Nexium, Prevaid, Aciphex,Prilosec and Protonix.

Some people respond to 1 pill a day, but more severe cases require 2 doses a day. Don't forget that last part if you don't feel well on 1 pill a day. Many people need 2 doses a day. Check out the acid reflux message board here - you'll find a lot of help.
