Got my blood test results yesterday - they are down from 1,017,000 to 680,000 after three weeks on interferon. I'm in my fourth week of interferon, and barely feel the flu like symptoms today... so apparently it gets much easier! The main side effect I'm worried about it hair loss... my Dr prescribed propecia when I asked him for it, but I have read that vitamin B and nioxin/minoxidil can help with this. Will let you know how that goes.

Either way, I'm happy that it's working and that the side effects are getting easier to take!! Should get the results of my thyroid test later this week... Dr also said he would do a test for the JAK2 gene mutation next visit.

I have also read about successful pregnancies with interferon on the internet... so this may be the best option.
