Im a 20 year old male, I thought I was losing my hair and went on a drug propecia, it made me totally impotent as a side effect, but it said it would go away, well it seems the effects never totally went away, and now I have even more problems.

Im looking for herbs or what not that can possibly help me.

=( I still plan on going to the doctor, but maybe I can discuss some of your anwsers with him.

I am going to post this on the mens health board as well, just because I want an abundance of anwsers, please dont lock it ;P.

Thanks in advance!

Okay, I'll jump in with my two cents......
Adding herbs and who knows what else into your system does not seem like the sensible answer.
Most herbs for male potency are hormonal stimulents and if you are taking a specific med that reduces the effect of androgens in the body (like propecia) then the use of an herbal which probably would fall in the category of a phyto hormonal substance and/or a phyto androgen stimulator, then you are counter mixing your remedys.
Seems to me the choice would come to the hair loss med or ones sex life.
Which ever would be the most important factor.
Sex can be fulfilling with more intimacy and less actual sex act stuff depending on the emotional bonds in your relationship. you could make adjustments there if you have a good relationship with your partner.
Or you could make a fashion statement and shave your head. Some people look great with shaved heads.
Or you could get a good cut to work with the hair loss
and gracefully work with the condition.
Since Propecia reduces the production of scalp serum you could also use the two shampoo a day remedy.
BABY SHAMPOO was formulated to remove cradle cap.
Cradle cap is some reisitent stuff.
By shampooing your head twice a day with an ultra cleaner that breaks up sebum, you might could prevent your hair folicles from closing up and killing off your hair.
I've known people who were able to slow hair loss with baby shampoo. A few I've talked to were even able to get some new hair growth going.
With hair it's just hard to tell.
And, there has to be the consideration of that hair root too.
If your hair loss has been long term anyway, then if the hair root has been choked off for long enough that it died, then no more hair will return with or without propecia.
So that's a reality factor you need to consider when weighing the benefits of the medication over the other things in your body that you would like to be different.
Hope you find the right balance for your body soon.
