medicines for a fusion (Back Problems board)

18th April 2007
The only thing they added was Oxycontin and Oxycodone (the codeine without tylenol in it). Oh, yes, and promethazine for nausea. It helped and it knocks me out, which is nice when you're healing. I stayed with all my original meds: neurontin regularly and percocet as needed. I weaned off that heavy stuff within 2-3 weeks. I didn't have any problems with that.

I'd say stay in touch with your doctor if meds aren't working. There's lots of choices out there.

Also, I made dose baggies labeled for the times of day I was supposed to take them. Opening bottles and counting were hard at first... :)

Good luck. Stay in touch.
