I need some advice. My husband is 66 years old. He has been healthy all his life except for now. He has never had to take any type of medication including tylenol or aspirin. The doctor has diagnosed him with having a lung mass. At the moment it is unclear what the mass is but the biopsy ruled out cancer. My husband is taking Loritab for the pain. The doctor also put him on Promethazine for nausea. My husband has been showing symptoms that the doctor says is not related to the lung mass. My husband has weakness in his left hand, weakness in his legs, falls down, bumps into walls, confusion, lack of energy, and takes a long time to do basic things (dress, shower). My husband is getting very frustrated because he does not understand what is happening to him. Also the lab work and the brain c scan came back as normal. What could be the cause of all of this?

I am sorry to hear of your husbands confusion ect.....but that is great that the mass isnt cancer!!! My grandfather was experiencing the same symtpoms as your husband, and you will never believe what is was............UTI, He had a urinary track infection, now i know that working in the nursing field myself especially in geriatrics that if an elderly person gets a uti they can get very ill and sometimes it can lead to death....My grandfathers was so bad that they had to do a brain operation because he had a mass in his head that the doc said was from the infection being so bad and left untreated, he fell down a flight of steps and we took him to the hospital for that and that is when they discovered the uti, and thats what cause his confusion and dizziness.....i hope your husband gets well soon, keep me posted on what it is when you find out..
