I have been on many antibiotics over the past 5 years for reoccurring UTI's. Finally, the doctor had me try Premarin Cream and my husband and I have been able to have sex painlessly and no more UTI's. But because I'd been on so many antibiotics, I have reactions to them now. My dentist put me on an antibiotic about 4 weeks ago - it gave me an intestinal infection. After about two weeks of probiotics and Anusol, I got some relief. THEN, I had some test results come back (about 2 weeks after my last course of antibiotics) that I had a melanoma and would need surgery. Following the surgery, I had to be put back on another antibiotic. The result of this antibiotic was a yeast infection - I used a 3 day course of Monistat. While using the Monistat, I didn't use the Premarin Cream. My husband and I had sex and grrrrrrrrrrrrrr - I got the classic symptoms of another UTI. PLEASE someone out there tell me what I can do besides being put back on another antibiotic!!
