Hi there, my experience with phenytoin is that is is good for GM's but not effective for petit mal attacks, so it might not do much for your auras. I was on the drug for many years before weaning off. If you have other medical conditions and if you take other drugs/vitamins etc I suggest that you check the possibility of interraction with the phenytoin/dilantin. The drug is absorbed in a way that can be affected by interractions or infections so the levels are not really linked to dosage. Do you have regular blood tests? You should...ate least every six months. regards, teddie
