   Seroquel Side effects (Bipolar Disorder board)

Possible Side Effects
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This medicine may cause the following side effects:
drowsiness
dizziness
constipation
dry mouth
See a doctor immediately if you experience:
unexplained fever
extreme muscle stiffness
uncontrolled muscle movements (e.g.
tongue or face)
vision changes
irregular or fast heartbeat
sweating
change in alertness
If you experience other bothersome side effects, contact your health care provider.

Warnings/Precautions
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before using this medicine, tell your doctor if you have had an allergy to this medicine in the past.
Do NOT abruptly stop this medicine without talking to your doctor.
This medicine may cause dizziness or drowsiness.
Alcoholic beverages can increase the effects of this medicine and should be avoided.
Avoid getting overheated and drink plenty of fluids when exposed to warm temperatures.
Be cautious when sitting up too quickly from a lying down position, especially in the first 3-5 days of treatment or when the doctor increases your dose.

Overdose
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Seek medical attention immediately. For non emergencies, contact your local or regional poison control center at 1-800-222-1222.

Drug Interactions
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Let your doctor, nurse of pharmacist know about all the medications that you are taking, either by prescription or over-the-counter, including herbal supplements.
Tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medications:
amantadine (Symmetrel)
barbiturates
bromocriptine (Parlodel)
carbamazapine (Tegretol)
cimetidine (Tagamet Tagamet HB)
erythromycin
fluconazole (Diflucan)
cortisone-like drugs (prednisone; hydrocortisone)
itraconazole (Sporanox)
ketoconazole (Nizoral)
levodopa (Sinemet)
lorazepam (Ativan)
medications for high blood pressure
pergolide (Permax)
phenytoin (Dilantin)
pramipexole (Mirapex)
rifampin (Rifadin)
selegiline (Eldepryl)
thioridazine (Mellaril)
vitamins.
