Chest pains and reflux (Acid Reflux board)

2nd February 2008
I have been treated off and on for reflux. I took nexium for two months and it did help. But, it cost 150.00. So I got off of it and really changed my diet gave up caffeine and other fatty foods. It seem to be ok with me doing that and then taking a pepcid as needed. But in the last two weeks I have been having horrible chest pains. I have been taking a pepcid and zantac and nothing makes the chest pains going away. I am only 26 and shouldn't have anything wrong with my heart. I have an appt. with Internal Medicine doctor on Monday. I wondering if the chest pains could just be partly reflux and a lot of anxiety. Anyone ever had bad chest pains that don't seem to go away with reflux meds?
