Just about two weeks ago I began to have nausea at night while lying in bed (It comes to me as a "throbbing feeling" in my stomach and makes me want to vomit) On the second night it happened again but didn't disappear as it had the previous night. When I woke up in the morning I still had it and it wasn't until later that evening that it went away.
I thought I was fine but just a day or two later other symptoms began...I developed this pain in my ribs, usually right under them. I also had this horrible pain in my sides / back along with abdominal and pelvic pain. I went to the doctor (which was 8 days after all of this started) and he told me that I had a bladder infection. The prescription he gave me cleared up most of the pain I just described above and I thought I'd be back to normal in no time.
The only thing that the prescribed antibiotics didn't clear up was the heartburn I felt in my stomach, right in that "hollow" spot between the lower ribs. I had heartburn constantly for a few days and the nausea came back (it comes and goes).
Yesterday I went to the Urgent Care Center and the doctor told me that the bladder infection and heartburn probably weren't related. I somewhat disagree with that...but anyway... I was a little worried that I might be diabetic since everything that was happening to me is listed as diabetes symptoms. But my blood sugar level turned out to be fine and after looking at my urine sample he said I no longer had the infection (though I'm continuing to take the meds).
He told me to take a pepcid every night before bed for one month and offered no other solution...
Despite the nausea, the thing that has really come to concern me is that three nights ago (which would be the night before I went to urgent care) every time I fell asleep I would instantly wake up and take a really deep breath. This happened last night, too, and I'm afraid that it'll happen again tonight...It almost seems as if my breathing becomes too shallow, I've noticed this when I'm really, really tired and ready to fall asleep.
So basically, I have really bad heartburn even though the pepcid helps a little bit. I've felt nauseated all day and became really carsick. I also have back pain right between my shoulders and on my right shoulder, along with pain in my lower back. My sides ache and the area right under my ribs is really sensitive. I'm afraid to go to sleep tonight and I want to see another doctor tomorrow but most of them that I've called are booked for weeks. The hospital and urgent care center seem like my only choices though honestly, I do not want to go back to urgent care. The doctor seemed more interested in me than my symptoms and he made me feel really uncomfortable...
I'm wondering if I can just walk in to the hospital and tell them that I really need to have my stomach checked out or something...I have a wellness check up on the 20th but I know I won't be able to wait that long, the symptoms get worse every day... I've lost all interest in doing other things and lounge around the house all day. I'm 5'4 and usually weigh just a pound under or above 110lbs, but now I'm at 105. I'm not sure if this is because what's going on inside of me or because over the last two weeks I've mostly drank water and have completely stopped eating junk food - but I really feel that it's the latter.
I've been thinking that I could have acid reflux though the doctor I saw yesterday didn't even mention it. I'm terrified and I don't really know what to do and I feel as if there's something seriously wrong with me but no one else seems to think so...Please give me any insight or advice. :(
