Hurts when I drink tea, breathlessness, indigestion like pain. (Open to All Health Related Topics board)

21st March 2008
Dont know which board to post this on and happy if its moved but here goes:

I have a problem, Perhaps at the bottom of the Osophagus? Sometimes when I drink tea or coffee it can hurt the area as it passes.

It causes me to be breathless sometimes and I have a sort of indigestion type pain there especially at night. Central heating at night seems to make it worse.

The pain is located at a point between and behind but under the breasts.

I dont think its an ulcer because I read the symptoms of ulcers and they are different.

It feels as though it could be associated with the top of the stomach pipe while the breathlessness might indicate the bottom of the windpipe, perhaps where the two meet?

no history of clinical problems, age 59, suffered with this issue since 80s, used to smoke before then but may not be related to that, not allergic to anything except penicillin, medications none.

Grateful for suggestions.
Thanks,
regards,
Sara
