Unexplained skin discolouration and subsequent blistering in 2 year old. (Open to All Health Related Topics board)

27th February 2006
Two year old female of mixed race (african/caucasian) born with heart murmur. General health is good. 8 months ago developed blister on the sole of one foot. The foot became infected and most skin was lost. Treated with antibiotics and dressings. (Also allergic to penicillin). A few weeks later blisters appeared on one thumb, again became infected. Treated with antibiotics and dressings. Then complete palm of one hand lost all skin.
Again treated with antibiotics, dressings and physiotherapy. Two weeks ago strangely shaped areas of skin became discoloured (dark port wine shade) on both ankles, both calfs and side of one thigh and side of one foot. 3 of these then developed huge blisters. She has also suffered from some hair loss, flaking nails and has lost weight.
Doctore seem to want to believe the marks are burns of some form. We know this is not the case and have continually asked for vigorous investigation. Please can anyone help? We are absolutely desperate, this little girl is very ill but nobody is listening.
