Swollen lower eyelids and sinus allergies (Allergies board)

12th November 2006
Oh my! I have never heard of a swab test for allergic conjunctivitis. It really sounds like allergies, so I'm suprised you don't have allergic conjunctivitiis. So have you tried prescription drops or only over-the-counter? Patanol works great for me. Have you been checked out for a sinus infection? Sometimes they can cause eye drainage when the sinuses around the eyes are infected.

I have no sinus infection they did a CT scan only had drainage. I have tried prescription drops Elstat, Optivar, Alrex with no help. How long did you have swollen eyelids and did Patanol make the swelling go away? I went two 3 opthlmologist and they all diagnosed allergy eyes but yet when the allergist did a swab for allergic conjunctivitis it showed I didn't have it. Thanks for your help and let me know more about your eyelid swelling please.
