i was on optivar last summer-i have terrible allergies-i've been on allegra for 10 years!! also flonase etc. i've tried patanol & zaditor and i think the optivar worked the best! (i've posted elsewhere about my recurring gooky eye problem that no one can seem to diagnose-one doctor suggested allergies so no you don't need itching for s/t to be an allergy-i'm so frustrated!!:rolleyes: )but the optivar is a good drug and really did help with my allergic eyes.

Hi all, is Optivar an antihistamine drop?... if so, how does it differ than the over the counter allergy eye drops? ... or is it more like Patanol? Does this drop increase eye dryness like over the counter allergy drops?

I'm also wondering if allergy shots help with allergy eyes. Allergy eyes is my only symptom though, and not year round, so I'm thinking shots may be overkill...
