30th April 2005
[FONT=Times New Roman]Drew,
I have been on the patch for almost 3 years now with one short break prior to my fusion surgery. Honestly, I have always changed my patch in the evenings and I do not really notice a difference. (Except this month when I got the generic patch.) I also change my patch every 48 hours, like you. Want to hear something funny? I went to the doctor on Thursday. Well, my doc was on vacation so the doc covering for him (who was being an *** by the way) asked me what strength patch I was on. I said 75ugh. He informs me that they don't make a 75, that I was wrong! Hummm. So, of course I argued with him that they did make a 75. I should have never argued with him I guess but it was such good sport. LOL. Anyway, he was getting angry. I guess I was starting to get miffed also because after he said his last mouthful, I jerked up my shirt and gave him a show. I think he enjoyed that just a little too much because he came extremely close. (I put my patches on my chest). Well, my German friend that came with me almost fell out of her chair laughing at me when I did that. That doctor didn't say another word to me. He wrote my scripts, threw them at me and walked out the door. The reason I said I shouldn't have argued with him is because he changed every one of my scripts. I think he did that on purpose. I'm supposed to get 15 patches a month, he changed it to 10. I'm supposed to get 10 bottles of 30ml's of oxycodone and he only wrote it for 1. Well, of course I didn't fill the scripts. I'm going back on Monday to see my doc. I guess he thought I would have to fill the scripts but what he doesn't know is I hardly ever run out of meds on the 30th day. I have the extra days to wait. I guess he was embarrassed about being proven wrong on the patch issue. Oh well, cest la vie.
God Bless,
