I went on Ovral 21 almost 2 months ago. My first month was fine...I got my period on the 3rd day of not taking the pills. It was heavy so I immediately started a new pack, thinking it would stop (which I now know, that's won't happen). My period lasted about a week. Then it was gone for 2 days and suddenly came back (not too heavy). Then it stopped for 2 more days and now it's back again today! My gyno said not to worry or anything. She said that I could stop taking my Ovral and have this period be my period for the month. I'll then start up a new kind next week: Tri Cyclen

My questions: Why am I having my period while I'm taking the pill? Is it just because my body's adjusting? How long did it take you to get fully adjusted to taking the pill?

And also, how long did it take before you noticed a change in your cycle? 1 month? 2 months? etc...
