Not all pills are good for the skin or hair. In general, pills with a higher androgen index, like Alesse, aren't good for the skin or the hair. Androgens are male hormones and some women don't do well with them at all. Instead, try something with a lower androgen index like Ovcon-35, Ortho-Cyclen, or Ortho Tri-Cyclen.
