I used to be on Ortho Cyclen (not tricyclen) and it defintiely helped keep me clear. I still got a pimple now and then, but nothing major.
After I stopped, I began to gradually break out more and more, month after month. So 2 months ago I went back on, and I'm seeing slight improvement. Next month I'm switching to Ortho TRI-cyclen, however, because it is offered in generic, while the ortho-cyclen is not. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be equally effective.
Anyways... Yes I recommend giving it a shot. Besides possibly helping with acne, the BC pill is also nice b/c you always know when to expect your period. :)
