My dad and brother both have type 2 diabetes with high blood pressure. My dad has also had triple bypass surgery. His kidney function has declined somewhat to around 1.8 or 2.0. His doctor has yet put him on an ACE inhibitor or ARB to help with his kidneys. He is on lopressor and Norvasc. Shouldn't he be on some time of blood pressure meds that will help with his kidneys??
