I have been on Nordette for about two years now, I've never had any trouble with sife effects before. I ususally skip the placebo pills and go straight to the next pack, by reccomendation of my doctor, so I skip most of my periods, I normally get my period every three months when on my third pack I take the placebos. and this has worked out fine with no problems the entire time I've been on them.

I'm on my second of the three pack cycle so I'm not even close to the time when I would get my period, and I'm right in the middle of the pack, so I'm not close to the placebos so even if I didn't skip my period I wouldn't be getting my period now anyway. This afternoon I had some very dark colored light spotting, and now its still fairly light, but its red spotting as well, I've had some painful abdominal cramps for several days now. Is this a normal side effect? why would i start getting side effects now when I've been on the pill with no problems for two years now??

any help or advice would be very much appreciated!
