I was put on BC about a year ago because of severe anemia. I gained over 15 pounds in the first 3 months. Not only did I gain weight, but because I was petite I got strech marks on my legs and breast. After a few more months, the weight sort of evened out and I lost a lot of it without very much exercise. I never really had a major change in my appitite, but seemed to gain weight anyway. Now the weight is gone but the marks are still a little visible. I've tried many different creams and lotions to help minimize them but they are not cooperating. I am taking Nordette, which is a pill form and I like it now that I have lost the weight. I guess metabolisim was slowed down because I was eating the same amounts, and wasn't really eating more often. Then again, I was anemic and the iron I was taking with the BC may have had something to do with my weight gain. Hope this helps!
