Estrostep, is it killing my relationship?? (Birth Control board)

20th December 2004
I got to commend you for taking the time to find out whats going on with your girl's body! I was just prescribed Estrostep but havent taken it yet (and am still debating on it..)
Let me just tell you that I totally understand where you are coming from. I know its not just because your a typical guy and want sex. It doesnt feel like a girlfriend if youre not intimate or close.. It just feels like a Girl thats a friend. But thats besides my point- I would suggest trying Nordette 28. It has a lower level of estrogen (which seems to cause sluggishness or low sex drive from what Ive been researching) Nordette actually, somewhat, increased my sex drive after the initial 3 month "getting used to it" time. At first I was kind of annoying emotionally but I was back my old self by month 3. (Which is the very calm, cool and collected girlfriend that doesnt get emotional over anything and is always *ready*haha..But the first month I was upset over everything and my sex drive was a little lower than usual!) ...SO youll have to beware of the first few months or so on ANY pill..its increasing hormones in her body...thatll make anyone a little wacky..But just be patient. I was on Nordette for 2 years and LOVED IT (So did my bf, ha ha) So give it a try and let us know what happens.
