Is the anticonvulsant Neurontin? I know people who take Topamax and various other (similar) drugs for nerve pain but to tell you the truth, Neurontin seems to work the best. However, for severe nerve pain you usually have to take a very high dose. It's not addictive or narcotic, it's just that the high dose might make you sleepy.
