Having problems talking and changing of my voice...hard to sing now...etc. (Acid Reflux board)

27th September 2007
ok for about 2 months now I noticed a change in my voice...the way I sound and I was getting really concerned and worried about it.....and wondered what it was...I didn't like the way my voice changed or sounded so I stopped talking 2 people as much...and now still that way since about 2 months ago...So I set up a appointment with a Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor and saw him today....he told me I have allergies and Acid Reflux disease and put me on Nexium for acid reflux and Nasacort for the allergies...I just wanna know when my voice will come back...it's hard for me 2 talk sometimes...I sound so low and I never used too...also I feel a lump in the throat everytime I swallow and they told me it was a sensation of a lump from acid reflux disease...

The thing is if I have acid reflux disease what are the symtoms cuz the only thing i feel is the sensaiton of lump in throat and change and horseness of voice...what other symtomps do oyu get....I just wanna know that he didn't misdiagnous me..plz help really worried and concerned

I was planning on taking singing lessons with a friend recently and now can't because of this...when will my voice come back....

Also when I saw the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist he put some instrument down my nose and into my throat and he gave me this anceetic (don't know how to spell it) that made it more bearable to put the instrument down my nose into throat and a few minutes later that anesthetic helped bing my voice back...has anybody else had this happened to them...I felt so happy but then my voice went back to sounding horrible and hoarse and not like mine...so what's the problem...anybody can help really annyoed and depressed about this...thanks
