All I can say is keep away from calcium channel blockers and Beta blocker then. Those two are nasty meds and should be reserved for a last ditch effort... IMHO.

Monopril (ACE I.) and HCTZ haven't given me any side effects in my 16 years of taking them. Some report ACE giving them a cough.
