I'm taking a water pill, HCTZ, for BP. Short for hydrochlorithiamiazide... or something like that.
If he needs to take BP meds, have him ask his Doctor about Fonosipril (Brand name, Monopril). It's an ACE inhibitor that I have been taking for 15 years now... and does not have any side effects that bother me. Same with the HCTZ.
Good luck. Not a big deal to take a BP med... although there are some nasty BP meds I'd keep away from.
