   headaches (Birth Control board)

9th May 2008
Hello,
I have been on every birth control you can imagine over the past 17 years... each one has its +/-s my main reason for going on the pill was painful and irregular periods. That has been taken care of with most of the pills I've taken. What I have been fighting the last couple of years with little succes are severe headaches during the few days I have my period. They can be quite debilitating and I can't find anything to stop them or make it feel better. My OB/GYN keeps changing my prescriptions but nothing seems to work or new problems come up. I am just changing back to Loestrin from Mircette (that was horrible for period and also headaches, double whammy). Picked up my prescription and was given the generic Microgestrin FE 1.5/30 instead. While on Loestrin my periods were nonexistant (I would get some bloating but no period)... but still the headaches... its a trade off. Does anyone have any suggestions or remedies for these headaches I can try?
thanks,
BC Forever
