Endoscopy + Ph Study (Acid Reflux board)

Hi Blondy,

You were smart to have the pH studies. My doc really wanted me to do it, but I was too scared. I have the vomiting issue, too (along with other GERD symptoms). What did they end up doing for your reflux?

I had no choice, my parents made me.

I ended up on a mutli-drug approach:

Prevacid 30mg, twice a day, phengergan 25 mg as needed, Reglan 10mg 4 times a day, Miralax 17 grams once a day, and Carafate 10ccs as needed.

I also found due to my high PPI needs I have to switch between the PPIs otherwise I become resistant.

My GI doctor doesn't believe in fundos in people my age, so I didn't get one, though I was sent for a second opinion, and that doctor was just an idiot.

I also have type 1 diabetes and asthma, which complicates things.

I had a traditional NG tube pH study, and it was not fun, but not that bad.
