If only we could find the root cause of this. We all keep jumping from the nose to the stomach to the lungs to candida ect...... I thought the mucus that I have was coming from my PND. The doctor put me on steroids with little effect. But, it did help a little. When gargling to get rid of the mucus I could smell vomit. So I started taking Pepcid two times a day. It has helped a lot more then the steroids. But I still have mucus in the back of my throat. It's at it's worst after I eat. So here I go again and think that it is coming from my gut. No my nose. This is driving me crazy. I truly think we all have the same problem. Even though we differ a little in symptoms. I think the root of the problem is the same for all of us. Its interesting when you read the treatment for sinus problems and reflux problems both are very hard to cure. If there even is a cure.

Once again has anyone been tested for helicobacter, the germ that causes stomach ulcers? Some of the symptoms is Bad Breath, Bad taste in the mouth and a coated tongue.

I'm hoping to get a blood test for it. I did hear that if you have helicobacter, and antibiotics (metronidazole or clarithromycin with omeperazole) for one week works. But, then returns. One of the causes is that a family member may have helicobacter and you are becoming re-infected. It may be a good idea to get the whole family tested if the antibiotics works and then you become re-infected. Has anyone been tested?
