Dear Readers,
I have what I and everyone (doctors, friends and family) believe to be panic/ anxiety attacks. They first start off as getting tingly in the face and my fingers. Then I get a little dizzy, headaches, shortness of breath and occasionally the shakes and a tummy ache. I have done research and I DO have every single symptom of the panic anxiety attacks to a T.
I am as of right now on Metoprolol to keep my heart rate down. My doctor prescribed me to take this twice a day 25mg.
I am going to see a new doctor on Tuesday and hopefully be taken off of Metoprolol because I think it is causes some hair loss. It's more then I usually lose, but I don't see balding or thin spots.
My attacks happen at random times. They aren't fear induced...just happen out of the blue.
I have these episodes at night time when I go to fall asleep (I am in the in between awake and sleep stage...) I feel like something scares me awake. Maybe like my boyfriend moved or I get the.. I tripped and fell feeling. Then my hearts beats fast and I feel like I am having a panic attack. I have jhad this happen a couple of times, but most of the time my panic attacks happen during the day.
I am on Darvocet for knee pain, I had surgery on May 4th.
Does anyone else have these night anxiety attacks??? I had one last night.
I really hate them and they make me feeling I am going to cry and lose it.
I just need some comfort and I'd like to learn about what others go through and how they deal.
I plan to be put on Zoloft when I see my new doctor. I had used this in the past for depression and it worked good and I was told by posters on here that it also works great for anxiety.
Also.. could my anxiety be increased because my boyfriend has anxiety and OCD and depression?? Can those bounce off of each other and cause us to both have more anxiety?? He's seeing a doctor on Monday for his.
Also I had blood work done twice and everything was good. I had an Echocardiogram and my heart is good too.
Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You All!
