Hi everyone!!
I started a couple months ago having panic attacks....very friggin scary I might add. I have been to the doctors and he put me on a medication that is suppose to keep my heart rate down...it wasn't exactly an anxiety medicine per say but for some reason it has helped and I haven't had one since. It's Metoprolol. The reason I want off of this med is because it can cause hair loss and I am my boyfriend has noticed an increase in hair loss. I don't have balding or thin patches I am just losing alot more. I have been with my boyfriend for a year and 6 months and never has he had to clean the tub drain out every 3 days like he is now! I am seeing a new doctor in 2 weeks.
I also suffer from depression... I have good days and bad days where everything just irritates the heck out of me.
I was on Zoloft a few years back and it did wonders for my depression! It was the Happy Pill as everyone in my family called it.
I never had the panic attacks back then. I did read that zoloft is use for anxiety and panic disorder as well as an anti-depressant.
My question is would this be a good choice or should I try a different medication that is specifically for anxiety??
I really don't want to have panic attacks they last for a couple hours for me and then I feel so drained and blah for the rest of the day.
