Vyanase Users (ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder board)

16th September 2007
Have any of Vyanase users experienced heart palpitations or dangerous increases in blood pressure or pulse?

I'm an a 56 yo geezer that does better on methylphenidate than amphetamines. That makes me atypical because adults usually do better on Adderall. I could not tolerate the slam/crash that I experienced with Adderall. So I doubt if Vyanase would be an improvement for me. I am concerned, though, about the many Adderall users complaining about serious side-effects mentioned above.

My suspicion is the l-amphetamine components are responsible. One of the two l-amphetamine salts is never prescribed alone. The other I believe is only prescribed for weight control. Both have a certain "nastiness" about them particularly if taken in excess. I can't help wonder if the l-amphetamines are responsible for my bad Adderall experience.

Vyanase is dextroamphetamine bound to an amino acid. The only way for the d-amphetamine to become active is though ingestion which breaks down the bond. There are no other amphetamine salts in Vyanase. It cannot be injected or snorted. But unfortunately, an intentional overdose will produce a pretty dang nice high. So guess what? Still abuseable. I would love to see a product that has the efficacy of d-amphetamine that can't be abused. Vyanase is less likely to be abused so it is a step in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.

Bob
