Add/adhd Treatment (ADD - Attention Deficit Disorder board)

6th December 2006
Technically there is no difference between ADD and ADHD. The proper term is ADHD with /hyperactivity, innattentive, or /mixed.

As for meds there is no right or wrong answer. The stimulants are: methylphenidate class (Ritalin, Focalin, Concerta, Metadate).
Amphetamine class (Dexedrine, Adderall, Desoxyn).
They both work extremely well but for some people one type works better than the other regardless of the type of ADHD.

BTW, I'm big time inattentive and I'm on 50mg of Adderall XR a day.
