I am trying to find out answers to my mothers death. She was taking two meds that she shouldnt have and they were prescribed by docs. I need to find out where i can look to find out how different meds can affect each other. She past away just in Feb. And she past of combined drug toxcity of methadone and alprazolam. Which neither should have been givin to her because of her respitory problems. Which they both say not to be givin to anyone with COPD or emphazyma. So if you can help i would appriciate every lead. I sm so sorry this happened to you. My Mom died from a combo of vicodin and xanax(alprazolam).

Methadone and benzodiazepines (xanax, for example) do NOT mix. They can be lethal when taken together. I was unable to so a wrongful death suit for my mom's death because we would have to foot the bill for the investigation. I don't know what can be done, but this is a lethal combination, and her doctors should (and did) know better.
